Essay: The Digital Tightrope

The Digital Tightrope (‘Den Digital Linedans’) is the title of this essay. I wrote it as my last ordinary assignment in Danish, during my last year in high school. What makes this paper interesting, is not so much the content or its subject (how our language is influenced by the use of cell phones) but rather its distinctive form.

The paper combines a interactive novel where the reader chooses where to go after each chapter, with the actual arguments of the essay. After each paragraph the reader is offered a question – basically: “Do you agree?” According to the answer, the paper always argues against the reader. If the reader agrees on something, the next paragraph argues against him again.
